Shopping : Jack Spade (New York)

Jack Spade is Kate Spade's husband and the male version of what she does. His store is located in the center of SoHo and has a very genuine old New York bachelor pad feel to it. I also like lots of the surrounding stores, I remember a Japanese toy and stationary store was just a few doors down.

Shopping : MoMA Design Store (New York)

The MOMA Design Store on Spring Street in SoHo is more open and well-designed than its uptown counterpart. It attracting tourists and Saturday shoppers; this is where you head when you're stumped for a gift.

Beer : McSorley's Old Ale House (New York)

McSorley's is the oldest Pub in New York and they haven't changed a thing since it opened. The wooden floors have deep carved out areas where people walk and the dust on the chandelier must be over 100 years old and counting. They only serve two kinds of beer - dark or light and they have free cheese, saltine crackers and onions as snacks on the bar.

Food : H&H Bagels (New York)

H&H Bagels on Broadway and 80th in NYC used to be my favorite Bagel place in the world. Now it's the second runner up from St. Viateur Bagel in Montreal which is my new favorite bagel place in the world. Ummm, ummm bagels...!
